We’re preparing our next Newsletter, which will be circulated widely and will have a new format, consistent with the upgraded website. However, in the meantime, here are some brief reports on what we’re up to….

Chrodis plus Joint Action (WP7):
EHFF, as a collaborating partner provided a monitoring group (together with EPF) for the six pilot actions of this follow on of the original Chronic Disease Joint Action (see: http://chrodis.eu/4th-chrodis-plus-newsletter-june-2019/ ). The WP7 group met in Rome on Oct. 16/17 to review progress and plan writing their final report, which EHFF will contribute to.
Metaphorum 2019, Nov. 1-3, Huizen, Netherlands:
This is the third year we’ve contributed to the annual conference of the society dedicated to the teachings of the eminent cybernetician Stafford Beer. This year EHFF will be represented by Prof Mike Bewick, Sean Conlan and David Somekh and we will offer a session on ‘the power of social networks.’

EPF annual congress Brussels November 12-13:
This year the title of our partner EPF (the European Patient’s Forum) meeting is ‘advancing meaningful patient involvement’ (https://epfcongress.eu/ ). We’re delighted to contribute to the session on patient and citizen empowerment where Jim Philips co-Director of our CEMPaC project (see: www.cempac.org ) will represent us. David Somekh will man our desk in the exhibition hall to spread the EHFF messages on empowerment further.
