The EHFF has been invited to support Chrodis Plus WP7.
Work package 7 of the Chrodis Plus Joint Action is entitled ‘fostering quality of care for people with chronic disease’. The Work package leaders have asked EHFF, as a collaborating partner in the action, to assist them in part of the work package (led by our partners, EPF, the European Patients Forum) which is involved in piloting the quality measurement tool (QCR: quality criteria and recommendation tool, developed during the previous Joint Action, Chrodis) across different pilot sites.
EHFF has been asked specifically to evaluate the applicability of the QCR tool, to look at enablers and barriers to implementation and to review lessons that might be learned from the pilot actions (implementation in five sites across Europe).
We are pleased to field a team of four individuals for this circumscribed project all of whom having extensive experience of policy and implementation work in the field of quality in healthcare and all four having been previously involved in the recent PROSTEP tender on promoting self-management in chronic disease. They are, Rui Loureiro from Lisbon, Basia Kutryba from Krakow, Ales Bourek from Brno and David Somekh from the Isle of Wight.
The work is expected to be completed during 2019.
