
Mike Bewick
Professor Mike Bewick, has held high profile roles in healthcare, recently retiring from the post of National Deputy Medical Director to Sir Bruce Keogh at NHS England. He has extensive experience across all health sectors and was one of the senior clinicians leading on specialised commissioning at NHSE. He has chaired and then served on the Clinical Priorities Advisory Group (CPAG) and was a member of the Specialised Commissioning Oversight Group (SCOG). He has led on system redesign and the innovations that support such change and worked in challenging health economies. Additionally Mike has led on Primary Care and was the SRO for Revalidation, the first change in licensing for doctors since the inception of the NHS. He was part of the advisory team at NHSE for QOF and Primary Care contracting. He was one of the chief authors of the 10 point workforce plan for Primary Care. Read more…
