
Matthijs Zwier
Matthijs Zwier is an independent business owner, focussing on enabling change. He is a crazy connector and an experienced networker in and around health, healthcare and society. The ultimate goal is to really make a difference on a happy and healthy life for everybody! Focussing on partnerships with citizens, professionals and organizations/networks, to build capacity and target the ‘wicked problems’.
Matthijs is also a former senior nurse and holds a bachelor degree in nursing and a masters degree in nursing science. He has worked at the University Medical Center of Utrecht for 10 years as a Senior Nurse and transition coordinator. Then decided to make a switch towards quality and healthcare improvement as an advisor. Working as an advisor for the former CBO, he was involved in the National Action Programme Self management, a four year program on the implementation of self management in healthcare (in the Netherlands) and numerous innovation and implementation projects. Matthijs has rich knowledge on Personalized Healthcare, change management and integrated care. As an Senior Advisor he now focuses on Personalized Health, cross sectoral (ex)change management and the concept of ‘causing movement’ and ‘making conversations’ in primary care. He is a member of the Sustainia Global Healthcare Expert Network. Matthijs is an Associate Director of EHFF since 2013.
