On Oct. 21 David Somekh gave an invited keynote presentation at a seminar on integrated care convened by the Region of Skane in southern Sweden at their office in Malmo. The event represented a coming together of four European regions, Wales, Scotland, Flanders and Skane, to share expertise on integrated care and to consider what they might achieve together, over and above shared site visits and comparing their respective strategies and progress in this area, e.g. via submitting a joint project for European funding.
The EHFF presentation is here. Other presentations were from Anna Kivilehto representing PROEIPAHA on the EIP for AHA and the scaling-up strategy, Bo Lindholm on a national overview of the Swedish IT solution to EPR and a discussion led by Leo Lewis of the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC) on the four regions’ experience of involvement in the EIP B3 working group on integrated care:
- The Medicon Village Twinning Partnership
- Reorganisation of the primary healthcare in Flanders
- Hälsostaden Ängelholm
- Integrated Care in Scotland
A final presentation was from the Medicon Village and Life Sciences Hub collaboration, the Village to be visited the following day.
