30 designers, venture capitalists, policymakers, patient representatives, academics and other parties interested in early stage eHealth design co-production met for two half days with a networking dinner in between, to discuss the issues around this subject which may have considerable significance for the effective take-up of potentially innovative ICT tools for health, especially in the fields of self-management and integrated care. A very stimulating discussion took place which we are currently in the process of condensing into a readable record and there are potentially two web-based discussion groups set up, one on user based approaches to diabetes, the other on scaling up of eHealth at a regional level. These group are tasked to produce some kind of output over a two months period and then we will feed this into the Berlin report and create a presentation which we hope to have discussed more widely at the Commission eHealth week in Amsterdam in June.
