We are now reporting the round table event held at the Health 2.0 conference in May in Barcelona (click here for the news feed for that period) where World Mobile Capital Barcelona had hosted a meeting of about 25 stakeholders to consider the current barriers to eHealth adoption. Present within the group were EHFF community members Victoria Betton, Mark Brown, David Somekh and Pascal Lardier as well as Joan Cornet, who chaired the event.
We are pleased to promote the outcome of this event, with a very recently published flyer from Joan’s organisation dated June 27th. For the full text see here . Joan in his message says ‘please feel free to circulate through your social networks, with your comments if appropriate, and to send it formally to your health authorities, and health media. In September will contact you to consider if it is worth to organise a LinkedIn open debate, on the content of this Call for Action. I will send this document in the name of the three organisations to EC and several healthcare organisations in Europe.’
Following the publication of this document, EHFF and mHabitat are considering setting up a platform of interested parties to consider how to tackle the barriers to adoption specifically from the viewpoint of the end-users of services; that is the health care professionals and the citizen/patients.
