In June 2013 a Consortium, known also as the EMPATHiE Consortium, constituting 8 members of the network led by FAD, submitted a tender bid to the Commission on the subject of self-management in chronic diseases. The bid was confirmed as successful in August and the kick-off meeting was Dec.4th.
A second, larger consortium was set up, led by CBO, with representatives of nearly all the current members of the EMPATHiE network. The bid for a non-EAHC (CHAFEA), SANCO tender on self-care in minor, self-limiting conditions was called just before Christmas and was submitted at the end of February 2014, under the acronym PiSCE. The bid was confirmed as successful in June and the kick-off was set for mid-September 2014.
