In association with the Latvian Quality Association, EHFF helped organise this year’s Summercamp, based in rural Latvia, about one hour’s drive East of Riga and near to two medieval cities, Cecis and Sigulda. The topic was ‘the future of work’. The flyer, which provides a description of the process, is here. In total 24 participants enjoyed a profitable three and a half days, with added local entertainments including a medieval feast at Cecis castle, an introduction to ‘serious sauna’ (for some!), a visit from a Latvian folk group for singing and dancing, log-fires under the stars etc. Participants had the chance to visit the Lower World via Shamanic guidance from Heikki Lehtonen. The overall programme is here. Two presentations, from Prof Teun Hardjono, on the fate of the European ideal (based on interviews with EU Ministers) and an entertainment on ‘All along the Watchtower and the Whore of Babylon’ from David Somekh, will be added to this post after the holidays.
